about

I wrote this song with a heavy Blind Blake feel and influence. Composed in the summer of 2013. Recorded by Lenny Fatigati in his basement studio. This song is about the end of a relationship I was in.

lyrics

babe do you remember when I came up to your door?
I could see it in your eyes that you did not love me anymore

can't you see me crying, feel me when I weep and moan?
I ain't had no other lover, mama since you have been gone

rain was falling down, I followed my two feet west
well I lay down in the evening, blues was sleeping in my bed

man was in your kitchen, I made my way back home
but when I arrived there was a ringing on my own telephone

tell me pretty mama who do you think it could be?
it was that mean uptown mama, crying how she was missing me
